Kutna Hora

The lovely Bohemian town of Kutna Hora, famous for the "bone church," as we call it, which includes chandeleirs and other decorations made of bones from 40,000 bodies, mostly plague victims, that were originally buried in the church graveyard. The place became famous when dirt was brought from Golgotha and scattered around the church grounds. (below: St. Barbara's Cathedral at night, just before the storm that drenched us!) Chandelier at the "bone church," including at least one of every bone in the human body
