Canoe Trip in Cesky Krumlov
After a 10 hour journey, which included a James Bond-esque train change and money exchange on the platform (ask later for details on that one!), Laura and I made it in time for a rousing game of homerun derby played in our hostel room with a roll of toilet paper (also ask later...). I'm pretty sure Cesky Krumlov is my new favorite town in CZ. It's beautiful!
With Jen and Che, two of my best friends from training. Can't believe we've made it this far! It seems like just yesterday we were sweating it out in Pasadena...
Canoeing through castle country...could this get any more amazing?
Canoe buddies!
After 9 hours on the river, we finally made it into town!

Kutna Hora
The lovely Bohemian town of Kutna Hora, famous for the "bone church," as we call it, which includes chandeleirs and other decorations made of bones from 40,000 bodies, mostly plague victims, that were originally buried in the church graveyard. The place became famous when dirt was brought from Golgotha and scattered around the church grounds. (below: St. Barbara's Cathedral at night, just before the storm that drenched us!)
Chandelier at the "bone church," including at least one of every bone in the human body
